#1 - God Loves Us

This is “very big deal” #1 (#1 of 7 "very big deals" in this blog). I believe this foundational statement of Christianity is unique among world religions. Other religions call on us to earn God’s approval (we can’t), or that our good deeds need to outweigh our bad deeds to be judged good enough, or that our next life will be predicated on how good we were in this life, or that we have to offer enough prayers or offerings to please God.  None of this makes God love us.  He already does.
