#10 Assurance

Key Concept #5. Because of Jesus' sacrifice for everything we've done wrong, and our trust in that sacrifice, the Bible makes a wonderful, major promise, which is a very big deal: when we die and stand before God's throne, he will say “Welcome to my heaven!”  No weighing of good deeds versus bad deeds, no pointing to our dark secrets, no qualifying “yah-buts”..... just “Welcome”.  We call this promise “Assurance”.  Ever since I was a teenager, I’ve staked my life on this assurance.  I still do.  You can, too.
